The first star we need to see tonight is – you!

The June 1st tornado struck a vicious blow on Springfield’s South End that hit Square One especially hard. Our Children’s Center at 959 Main Street and our administrative offices at 947 Main Street were destroyed, with the loss of all contents.

Fortunately, kind-hearted individuals, families and businesses in our community have already begun to help with donations of money, resources and furnishings. [SPONSOR] generously sponsored this ad so Square One can get the word out about the items we need to re-equip new spaces for our children and staff.

Square One is a non-profit started 128 years ago in Springfield and everything we do helps our community’s most vulnerable children and families. 

The tornado has forced Square One to start again -- at square one! We’ve been through a lot over the years, but nothing like this. Not even close. Your generous donations will make the difference we need to get back on our feet and move forward. 


P.S. About 90% of our children are living below the poverty line and they’ve had their share of hand-me-downs. We respectfully encourage everyone to contribute new equipment, learning materials and supplies, or donate money so we can make those purchases directly. Thank you.
