JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Job Title:  PT Temporary LAUNCH CLINIC FACILITATOR

Qualifications:

 

1.      Bachelors Degree in Physical Education or related field, or meeting the following supplement; Enrolled in a matriculated program focused on earning a Bachelor’s Degree in PE or related field.  

2.      First Aid and CPR is required.   

3.      Friendly and professional attitude toward children and youth.

4.      Strong team player with the ability to work independently.

5.      Computer literacy skills in MS office is required.  

6.      Must be in good physical health and have a passion for active involvement with children.

7.      Must have reliable transportation to travel to and from each LAUNCH clinic, including off site locations for clinics as needed.

8.      A flexible schedule is required.   

9.      Must be able to successfully pass a background record check.

10.  Effective communication skills both written and oral are required.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1.      Through the implementation of LAUNCH clinics, the facilitator will introduce, assist, and teach children about health, nutrition and physical activity. 

2.      Work collaboratively with LAUNCH coordinators/supervisors to successfully introduce and monitor physical activity engagement of children.

3.      Encourage the development of social, emotional, physical health through learning activities and environmental set up.

4.      Assist with scheduling, coordinating and conducting LAUNCH clinics to community agencies as required.

5.      Implement LAUNCH program enhancements to curricula.

6.      Attend trainings on LAUNCH implementation.

7.      Assist in the creation, and implementation of parent child events and activities aligned with health and wellness.

8.      Provide outreach services to other community based organizations as needed. 

9.      Oversee all required documentation per clinic, e.g. waivers, attendance, permission, etc.

10.    Perform other duties as assigned.
