DESCRIPTION
Title: Family Services Development & Training
specialist
Qualifications:
2.
Meet
the Department of Early Education and Care certification requirements for
Pre-school and/or Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher or possess a valid C.D.A.
3.
Demonstrated
supervisory experience is desirable.
7.
Ability
to work cooperatively and as a member of a team with parents, staff, family childcare
providers and the community-at-large.
8.
Conduct
yourself in a professional manner at all times.
9.
Demonstrated
computer literacy skills in MS office are required.
10.
Flexible
hours will be required pending operational needs.
11.
Must
have a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation to travel
throughout the Pioneer Valley region.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
a)
Providing
support and technical assistance through site visits, individual provider
training plans, progress reports, assessments, program evaluations, handouts,
newsletters, training opportunities, curriculum planning and implementation,
materials, special needs resources, and regulatory compliance.
b)
Establishing
an environment of trust with open and supportive communication between FCC
Providers, agency personnel and administration while motivating and encouraging
FCC Providers through training and leadership in order to enhance skills and
competencies.
c)
Ensure
that FCC Providers complete required documentation to meet compliance
standards.
d)
Consult
with FCC Providers regarding adjustment and progress conferences.
e)
Respond
to emergency crisis situations with appropriate action and follow up in a
timely fashion.
f)
Maintain
ongoing data collection of services to FCC providers, including Technical
Assistance.
g)
Participate
in new provider recruitment activities.
h)
Provide
orientation and training for new providers, including training on Ages &
Stages Questionnaires, curriculum, and other areas as needed.
i)
Meet
all reporting needs as required.
j)
Maintain
the strictest confidentiality of documents, discussions, resources and
information when working with families and with providers.
k)
Complete
all required documentation in a timely fashion.
l)
Other
duties as assigned by Supervisor.
