JOB DESCRIPTION
Title:
Family child care RECRUITER
Qualifications:
1.
Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
with at least three years of successful experience in early childhood
settings/family child care settings or High School Diploma or equivalent with
at least five years of successful experience in early childhood settings/family
child care settings.
2.
Excellent communications and strong interpersonal skills with the
ability to work with individuals at all levels is required.
3.
A demonstrated understanding of applicable regulations, standards
and licensing procedures is preferred.
4.
Must have reliable transportation with the ability to travel to
visit prospective provider homes and other outreach locations in the greater
Pioneer Valley region.
5.
Demonstrated flexibility, self direction and attention to detail
in prioritizing and completing task assignments.
6.
Bilingual/Bicultural competence is highly desirable.
7.
Flexible schedule is required.
8.
Must have the ability to meet deadlines and possess exceptional
organizational abilities with regards to the scope of this project.
9.
Computer literacy is a must.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The FCC
Recruiter will perform a variety of tasks within the Family Child Care
Department. Areas of focus will include
but are not limited to:
1. Outreach to
potential Family Child Care providers, to meet stated agency goals of
increasing the number of providers in Square One’s FCC network system.
2. Assisting
potential providers in the completion of required licensure and other start-up
tasks as needed to develop their independent child care businesses.
3. Provide
initial orientation to new providers as required by the Department of Early
Education and Care.
4. Provide
information and referral to available community resources (such as Mass Health,
Food Stamps, and WIC) to all community members.
5. Attend
community events and health fairs as appropriate.
6. Log all
outreach activities and technical assistance given to providers each week.
7. Ongoing
information sharing with other team members and documentation.
8. Assist with
provider trainings as needed.
9. Other duties
as assigned by supervisor.
